I bought myself a post hole digger and a set of clamp on forks to fit on the bucket of the FEL. they arrived today so hopefully i will get to play with them shortly as i have some fencing/posts to replace. tired of digging post holes by hand, when the fence is done i think it will have almost payed for itself but then i have some retaining walls to build. the forks will be handy for many applications around the place.i m now up to 4 implements and hoping to increase that:thumbsup:next i want a carry all.

When I got my clamp on forks, they seemed like they were way overpriced and I thought I would be hard pressed to justify the decision. Turned out they are one of the best toys I ever got .

I kept digging "just one more" post hole by hand, the PHD was another "why did I wait so long" device.

Have fun with them! Remember to derate your lift a bit since the load is further out from the bucket. My 970# lift went down to around 750# with the forks (depends on where the load is you're carrying). Ballasting is more important took, since the load is further to the front.

 I found out today how much I would like to have had some forks for my bucket. I brought in 400 lb. of stone on a pallet in the back of my truck today, the guy loaded it in just 1 minute with his fork lift it took me 1 hour to unload my truck, by the time I unload 400lbs of flag stone 25- 80 lbs bags of cement, 8-60 lbs bags of morter, and 20 pc of cement siding, I'm thinking I'm getting to spoiled by the use of my tractors FEL and I sure wished I had a set of forks,
BTW.. what do these cost? if ya don't mind me asking

i bought them off ebay for $260AUD, they are rated at 1000lb. i dont see why you should not be able to find them in the states also. i was actually surprised at how well they are made seeing as they are chinese.

being a 30 year old tractor they ran on high sulphur diesel, not the current 50ppm we have in australia , better to be safe than not plus 2 stroke oil is way cheaper and IMO better than fuel additives. my landcruiser had a monumental pump failure 2 years ago possibly from ULSD and little use. so i run 300:1 in it also. cheap insurance i say. and i have several of these drums with anything from pesticide to oil and fuels so marking them even should remove the idiot factor:D i was running bio in it but in light of some recent problems some were having i went this route with the Yanmar also.
