A few days ago as I was tending to a small issue with my upgraded tires and wheels for my BX 1860 a poster on this site said, "since you are the only one in the world with a 243 loader on an 1860." Am I, does anyone else out there have one? Some how I doubt it. Well, now I have the perhaps the only 1860 with a 243 loader, and wheels and tires from a BX 25. Am I nuts? Do I not care about my warranty? I guess if these tractors are as delicate as some seem to think they are, I'm scr@%ed. I like to think that these are tough little tractors, maybe not a 48 farmall, but properly used and mantained, should take most anything I'll ever throw at it. I've chosen to enjoy my one of a kind tractor. Fast forward to yesterday, needed to get new tires on my work truck. The gentleman changing them out looks at me and says, "I've never seen an F-150 with a seven lug rim", my truck was "beefed" up at the factory with larger leaf springs, brakes, wheels and tires. My assumption was that it's original owner purchased it for a delivery vehicle. So, do I choose it, or do these "oddball" mechanical devices seek me out? Perhaps there is some strange magnetic energy that brings these to me? I'm going to enjoy what I call my F-200 as it in NOT and F-250, but certainly isn't a typicall F-150, still looking for a new name/model for the 1860, any suggestions? Perhaps 1825? Please respond with ideas if you have any. I don't want the 1860 to have an identity crisis.:laughing::laughing:

Yeah, it's you. The magnetism is palpable. :D:D

Never have I heard of 7 bolt wheels, but I have lived a sheltered life.
F-200 sounds great. Or, to go retro, F-2

BX1860-SS (for special service), or maybe BX1860 Magnum...with some hot flame detailing on the hood.

I don't get the issue, though. Isn't the LA243 the loader intended for the 1860? To me it's the most natural thing in the world to get a loader for that tractor. The tires I'm not sure about...great if they work and don't add any stress to the machine, I guess.

Tractor factor, the 243 loader is intended, at least by the Kubota manual for the larger BX's, the only loader that is specified for the 1860 is the 203. I would love to hear that someone else had this set up though. The dealer delivered it this way, I was assuming that it would have the 203 loader on it. I posted a thread a few months back about it. I tried to attatch some pics of my 1860 Magnum, thanks TF for that I like it. Also the seven lug rim for BP. Hopefully they work.

My life suddenly became a little less sheltered.
Honest to goodness, 7 lug. Dang, what's next with you? Do you just make this stuff up, or what? I bet those 7 luggers where totally custom, right? Are you just that well connected in the D that you have those made for you? :D:D

I believe that Mr. Ford made those for me personally, just like Mr. Kubota made my tractor for me. It's all in the perspective.:D:D

When Ford introduced the new body style for the F-150 back in 1997 (and subsequently split off the SuperDuty's with a different body style) they offered a 'light duty' F-250---basically, the F-150 with upgraded rear axle, beefier springs, and 7 lug wheels. Later, in '04 when they changed the F-150 again, Ford offered the F-150 "Heritage", which were basically left over previous gen F-150's. Somewhere in there they rebadged the 'light duty' F-250 as an F-150 with a higher payload package, which is what you have I believe. It's not one of a kind, just an odd ball model. Take care of it---it might be worth something to a collector in 20 or 30 years!
