We had a great time putting it to work last night! We cleaned out the barn with it in mud which would have halted the craftsman mower we'd been using. Gonna be nice to just use it as a mower again, we did stuff with it that Craftsman never envisioned. :)

Thanks for the input on the BB. That'll be coming very soon, I'm sure.

I'm pleased at an idea I had. We were cleaning the remnants of a round bale out of the barn: our neighbors brought it to us to tide us over until the hay guy gets to make square bales. Anyway, the bucket doesn't hold a lot of loose hay. So I unbolted everything off an ancient riding mower trailer I had, so I was left with just the box. We adjusted the pallet forks so it slid exactly between them and hung from its top rails. We bungeed it on so it wouldn't slide off when tilted. It carried a lot of hay and was easy to dump, even protruding as it did from the tractor. YAY, our first homemade tool for the tractor! Pics to come this evening...

Isn't it great to get it muddy and put it to use? Great to have a work buddy, that can adapt, and sounds like you will be pretty creative with it.
Congrats, enjoy, be safe, post pictures.

Congratulations on your new tractor. It will amaze you how much they can do and in a short time. Have many happy hours in the seat and be safe.
I got a box blade for mine to grade our road and it has been great, very good attachment to have. Well gotta go and grade our road, had some rain yesterday so it's a good time to get rid of the pot holes when the gravel is still moist.

Well I lost my nut and bolt and it landed on the ground and I had to chain it up to get it back home. Always a good idea to check your nuts and bolts. Lucky I always have a couple sizes of chain with me.

Good idea on the chain. I have one piece of loop chain that stays under the seat, but it would be a good idea to have a section about like the one you have in that picture.

Also, I plan to find the thread that talked about better tool boxes. I actually found a couple of ammo boxes in the work building at the farm place where my mom still lives. I think I will work on that tool box improvement.

I have an old towel on each side of the seat and have the chains there, one on each side. They are out of the way but there if I need it.

I might need a photo to get a clearer picture. Are the chains "in the towel"? I do have an old dish towel that i keep, but it just sorta hangs around whereever, usually on or around the little tool box.

Got the towels on each side of the seat so the chains don't scratch the sheet metal paint. Really they are below the seat on each side, just enough room for them. So I have the chains and towels or wipe rags if I need the towels for that purpose.

Hi, I'm new to your forum. Lotsa good info here!

My wife and I bought a new CK20S last weekend and it's going to be delivered tonight. YAY! FEL and pallet forks, no backhoe. We expect to carry a lot of stuff around with it and clear some ground, maintain the driveway, put hay up in the loft. We have no use for a mower, but we'll probably get a box blade pretty soon. The dealer in Metropolis, Illinois has been super to work with. Between him the folks in here I'm less and less worried about getting too small of a tractor. We only take care of two acres and two horses, so i guess we don't need a 4010, huh? :) I hope to be posting some working photos pretty soon!

Metropolis, IL... Is that still Little Tractor? They used to be or are quite the dealer.

Just curious.
