Hi everyone, I am very mechanical, but a real nooby to tractors. I was referred to this site by a guy on Diesel Truck Resource, an excellent website for Dodge Cummins owners. Doubt I could be much help to most on this site, so I will def. take a learning stance. I fish for salmon and steelhead in Wa. What do you catch where you live?

Welcome Fishguy! Here lately it's been chiggers. Picking blackberries will do it everytime. Fishing is pretty good here in Oklahoma but I just don't do much of it. Anyway, welcome to TBN and post some pics sometime.:)

Howdy neighbor!! Where abouts in WA are you located (good idea to fill in more detail on your profile)? I primarily fish inland lakes for trout--often on the Colville Indian Reservation. Gonna spend all of next week there. Welcome aboard!! Regards, Mike

Hello neighbor! I absolutely love the Okanogan area. I have fished many of the lakes around there, Conconully, Wannacut, Spectacle, to name a few. I have never fished on the reservation, but have heard there are many great fishing lakes there too. Is there a special pass or license required to fish on the res.?

Looks like we're at opposite ends of the state, but a mutual interest has us meeting in the middle!! The bad news: Yes, you do need a tribal license to fish on the res., and the annual fee is around 35 dollars. The good news: None of the lakes are very developed, and hardly anyone fishes there (very pristine). We spend a lot of time at the Twin Lakes, and there are some nice facilities (resorts) at each. Good fishing on the Sanpoil river as well. Have a great summer--I've got a lot of tractor work (road grading, brush cutting etc.) to do when I get back from fishing!! Regards, Mike

I lived in Coupeville Wa. for about ten years, shopped at the Island County landfill at the time. Navy days at NAS Whidbey Island, Did'nt fish but had a friend who worked in the salmon industry in Portland Or. Always had a freezer full of salmon and had another friend who worked the mussel farms in Penn Cove Wa. Always had a five gallon bucket of fresh mussels when I wanted them.
