Rodents and flies
Beavers in the culverts, squirrels in the soffits, chipmunks in the garden, mice in the basement and outbuilding.
Deerflies, black flies and horseflies all trying to take large chunks of skin and cluster flies to be vacuumed off the window ledges!!

Striped cucumber beetles wiped out the zucchini plants in two days (we've never had them before); Worms in every sweet cherry; Too little rain, too much rain; Rabbits reproducing like, well, rabbits; More to come, I'm sure (the plants are only six inches high, give the enemy time.)

This year: ants in the kitchen. Have been fighting them for a couple of months and can't get rid of them.

Last year: ground hog digging up my brand new landscaping in front of the house three times...

The Colorado Potato Beetles have done a number on my potatoes and are now starting on the tomatoes.

Biting flies.

They're here every year at this time, but I still hate 'em. Luckily their life cycle only takes them to July 4 or so. They came early this year...wondering if the warm May temps may have played a role...hoping that means they leave early.

I like to get in my run (ok, jog) down the road but they are brutal, swarming your head and all. Dowsing a hat in "Off" works a bit but not much.
