HydrauLink- a self-contained air over hydraulic top link

Exactly my point, the hydraulink is less capable of overcoming the weight of the implement and raising it than the screw type link is.

I apologize to all the readers and to Hydraulink, It's not my wish to belabor this point.

I dont know about your place, but..... around my place there is ALWAYS a place close that you can set the implement down on a hill., mound, burm and releive pressure so that the adjustment can be easily be made, I guess I just do not see the big deal you are making about that single aspect.

You say you understand marketing, I assume you are reading/posting this on a Windows machine, do all their marketing hold up to close scrutiny? If Microsoft was on this forum, I would feel sorry for even Bill Gates.

:confused2:

"We appear to see this similarly as I also suggested something similar early in this thread by using blocks of wood under the trailer edge of the implement. Carrying around a stack of wood for blocks then positioning them to retract the cylinder would get tired very quickly and would soon be longing for the screw type toplink if that is what's required to raise the trailing edge of the implement.

For lilranch, I've mentioned that I have not used this device and am speculating on it's performance capabilities but after reading the literature, viewing the video, and performing a little test I've come to a sensible conclusion based on and for my situation only (as I've mentioned). I know full well how to read between the lines of marketing and am fully versed in the lessons of life but, regardless, it's a proven fact this device can not lift."

Although it won't be winning any awards for excellence, I will make it my personal business to obtain a simple video on how to adjust HydrauLink in the next few days if at all possible. Hopefully this will settle the doubts that you or others are struggling with. Blocks aren't necessary at all... it is a simple matter to adjust and you can do without leaving your seat.

Step 1: Open valve
Step 2: Lower the 3pt hitch to the ground
Step 3: Roll tractor forward 6" to 12"
Step 4: Close the valve

If I'm understanding you correctly, I think you'll be pleased.

If that works for you congratulations. If you're that concerned about my point being a "big deal" you're not helping much.:D

Thanks HydruaLink again for your response. I'm contemplating going with an active hydraulic top and sidelink but am on the fence and definitely don't wish to buy both systems. This typically means I'll be paralyzed by indecision and likely be with the screw link for awhile.

OK, my question is: Why is the travel so short? I have never seen a cat1 with less than 6" travel, and even that is limiting. 8+ is much more useful.

HydrauLink has a 6" stroke plus an additional 4 3/8" screw end for needed adjustments for a total of 10+ inches. Did I answer your question?

I must say I'm really surprised by this thread!

This gentleman brings a new and useful product to market, supports this site and gets a healthy dose of abuse for his efforts...

I've seen this behavior before on other forums. On a shotgun forum, everyone bemoaned the fact that no American made offerings in a particular gauge and particular configuration were offered on the market... When one finally came along, and a beautiful one at that, all everyone could do was pick every detail apart.
I don't know what it is about these forums that tends to bring out the worst in people...

Funny Ive seen the opposite. I see good dialog going on here. I give allot of credit to the company's rep here for answering questions, The company has a goo insight into people needs, and good feedback form people who haven't already bought one.I was impressed with the solenoid suggestion. I think it great they have this feedback.
i havent seen anything to harsh to me, at least the company rep seems to take all well.I personally have a hyd myself but still like the question and answer part. Gives me a good insight as to what it and how it operates.
Bottom line is its not for everyone, and im sure its just right application for another...

Agreed on this point.
I have seen a lot of true gentlemen post things on this forum, and very little negativism.

I think this thread, and a few threads where people argue about the best tractors have been the worst I have read.

I think some people are either not open to new ideas, or have what they think is the best and do not have an open enough mind to see where something else may be totally acceptable for someone else.

As I have said before, I would love to see one of these in action, but I spoke to the advertizer in PM's and sadly they do not have a demo in my area scheduled.

You NEED a Field test/Demo unit in the North East, specifically in Massachusetts.
Right around I-495 and I-90 area would be ideal.
Contact me for exact "Ship to" address.
