I knew this thread wouldn't be complete until LBrown59 chimes in :D

I've got my setup completed and I'll get some photos posted today.

*When I need to fill the barrel, I lift another barrel up in the loader and let it gravity feed into the shelved barrel through a similar setup. .

*This system is self refilling which eliminates all this for me.

Or 1 photo posted 2 days later. :)

Even though the paint was supposed to work on plastic, I should've known better.

I am going to do the same thing. I have a 35 gl plastic drum for a gravity feed. I want to put a simple hose and nozzle on it. How is your set-up working? Are there any problems with static?

I recently purchased two plastic barrels for this purpose (15 and 30 gallons)

My questions are.

1. On the non-dispensing bung is there a fitting that will allow the tank to breath (ie. let air in when fuel is going out and let air out when things get warm) but yet keep out bugs and minimize splashes when in transit?
Thanks -srj

1*Yes : Here is how I vented mine .
The vent is the fitting in the forground not the one with a union and the black hose .

I thought I had read on here somewhere not to use brass fittings

You can use plastic ,nylon, black pipe, brass and copper .
What you don't want to use is galvanized with diesel because it will cause the galvanize to flake off into the fuel .
I used copper and brass because they won't rust like black pipe and are more solid than plastic and nylon.
