Yes! I drove an MX4700 HST around the lot, & then a Grand L3940. Very short test drive, but I thought the 3940 was much smoother & quieter ... oh, & I love me some bells & whistles ... & the 3940's got 'em!!

Never underestimate the importance of bells and whistles, the older I get, the better I like them.

I can't be certain, but seems the M5040 would ride quite a bit better than the smaller L series.
