Anything is possible.

If you have a floor somewhere that is fairly level, a couple of jacks, 2 jack stands, some string, a tape measure, and a level, you could check it.

As cdaigle430 stated, for the motor to stay running while the operator is off the tractor it must be in neutral.

I hadn't seen the photo of the damage when I made my previous post, now after viewing the photo of the damge I really feel for you. If the loader arms are bent like that I'd bet the tractor frame isn't as true as it should be either.
The "safety" bites.:eek:

Hey Wacky, :( sorry to hear about your incident, and I am glad no one was hurt :thumbsup:. I also have worried about this poor EB design, I think I have seen much better designs on some go carts :confused2:. I hope you can quickly get you tractor to the emergency room for the care and fix up it needs :D. After reading all the post, I am now carrying on my tractor - 2 wheel chocks that I have laying around that I had purchased from camping world years ago. I will be placing these on the down hill side of the front and rear left side wheels when I get off of the tractor on a slope. I will also shut off the engine and set the MF mickey mouse EB. I am going to attach a small rope to connect these wheel chocks together and have the rope long enough to hold onto when I am on the tractor. That way I do not have to remove the wheel chocks until I move the tractor away from them a little bit. I have not always been able to lower the bucket when getting off as I have built a set of brush forks that attach to the inside bottom of the bucket. I use these for hauling limbs and extra fuels on the property. I hope you can get your tractor fixed as good as new :thumbsup:. KC

Wow that sucks. It must have really been moving to bend the FEL like that.

Well, this weekend is going to be one to remember. I was using my BH to remove some steel rebar that run through some landscape timbers and I moved the tractor forward set the parking brake and lowered the bucket left it running, went to get some insecticide to spray on the ant hill I uncovered. When I got back the tractor made a loud "click" and there she went down the hill into the drainage ditch and came to a sudden stop. What I want to know is how can a parking brake, on a new machine with 25 hrs on it, can just pop out? :mad: I went down shut it off and tried the brake again and it seems to hold. Now I am left with a destroyed FEL, hood, bent mower deck brackets, and a bent bumper, all because of a parking brake that didn't hold. Thank God I was not on it. Has any one had any issues with the parking brake on the GC series? I cannot seem to upload any photos. I am going to try another post.

Hey wacky, this might make you feel a little bit better;

I see you posted in May about deciding on a purchase. My heart feels your pain! Sorry to hear about this accident. I'm happy that other property; or lives were not involved, however.

If I could get the loader off I would be able to see if the FEL has the frame in a bind. I think that is what is making the whole thing lean to the right. The FEL is shoved to the right. If I could remove the FEL and the frame leveled out I am pretty sure I could do the repair myself. But I can imagine when that thing comes off it is going to go all different directions with all the pressure it is under right now.

Wacky, any luck getting someone to come take a look to give an estimate?

If you're worried about removing the FEL yourself, probably best to have the dealer do it. I'm sure you'd want to be there for the disassembly if at all possible, good opportunity to learn more about your machine.
