Actually that's an insult to the species; I've never seen a piglet's dirty diaper dumped in a parking lot on a hot summer's day. What would be so difficult about walking 50 feet to put it in a trash container?

In 14 years of traveling with a dog I have never left piles of s*** in a public place, and it really gets my goat up when I step out of my truck onto somebody's dirty diaper.

Sorry, end of rant.

I get even more upset when you go into the woods and see beer cans and diapers. Really a shame on the human race. It justifies the bumper sticker on my truck thyat reads simply...."People Suck!"

Were you traveling in France by any chance? :D Hope our French TBNers don't take offense, but ...
Dave.

I was shocked when I was in Paris, at the number of people that just walk up the side of a building and relieve themselves.

Business men, well off, walking along chatting and then...:confused2:

When people ask me what Paris was like, I say its one of the nicest rest rooms i've ever seen

Also, every time I mow the entrance to our property I have to do a litter patrol first. There is always Mc'Ds trash, and the nearest one is at least 40 miles away. BK is even further and we still get their litter.

I think people traveling along the highway feel they need something to aim for when they throw their trash, and a driveway gives them that

The French are individuals, have to give them that :D

I'm sure driveways and mailboxes are used for litter targets. That's my litter experience too. Too many bottles end up near my mailbox for it to be coincidence. I have my anti-litter fantasies. They usually begin with a night vision scope

I agree. Our society has degraded to ignoring such breaches of law and etiquette allowing it to become almost acceptable. I have seen law enforcement officers cite violators who then complain about the citation and weak minded authorities, politicians and judges dismiss the tickets, which furthers the littering. Excuses, excuses

It's a real shame there would ever need to be litter laws. Etiquette is not what it used to be :D I have no proof, but my gut feeling is the majority of the littering is done by a fairly small group of people.

Sounds like The Pareto principle, or the 80-20 rule. 20% of the people cause 80% of the litter, but I'd bet it is more like 20% cause 100% of the litter. It applies to many parts of life, like 20% of the TBN posters contribute 80% of the posts:D.
