LOL thanks for all the replies.. we had a small window to plant then had so much rain that we didnt turn a wheel for 28 days if i rember right. and yes good soil here im in the old black swamp. i am only about 30min to the west southwest of bowling green ohio. we usually have good corn just dont ever rember it this tall this soon. my dad said he only rembers it one other time like this and it was some 20 years ago.

Due to the wet spring, dads corn was "sprouting by the 4th of July"

Already did.

I wouldn't have thought it was that big of deal. Corn well over my head on Independence day is the norm here. I would also have thought growing season would be longer/earlier there.

Here in the NE last July 4th the corn was just about ankle high.!! Bad year.

Don't know about you guys, but in my neck of the woods, taking pictures of corn growing is not what we call interesting.

I don't know the height, but I know corn is well over my head right now. I'm only 5' 10", but it is still high above me. I think corn got in late too because of the rain.
