Found this on the edge of the woods, never saw it before. Anyone have an idea?

If we Google Butterfly Weed we see one nearly identical. Common along roadsides in poor soils.

yea i was thinking butteryfly weed as well. Its a wild flower and i have seen it bloowing this last week here in GA.

Ask one of the Vermonters here. They should be able to tell you how tastes dried and rolled into a Zig Zag. :cool:

We called them chigger weeds when I was growing up. They have been blooming around here for a week or two. I like the intense color of their full bloom.

Yup...That's Butterfly Weed.

We love wildflowers and that's one I have dug up and and replanted because it's so pretty. I have a permanent patch of them in my yard. We like them that much.

If you want to do the same...They have a tuber. When digging, try to get the whole tuber. They replant easily and are fairly drought resistant, (once established).
