Bush Hog gearbox

I recently bought a Bush Hog Squeeler SQ60-2 at an auction, and even though I inspected it as best I could with it on the ground, the gearbox turned out to be junk when I got it home. The output shaft and blades flop around so badly, the input shaft stop won't mesh with it. I'm planning on getting it apart, But I really think this one's beyond just new bearings and seals. The gearbox is the square 70.000 series. Anybody have a good used one or know where to get one? The factory says it's obsolete, and any parts I've found are heinously expensive.(I paid $400 for the mower, and just the output shaft is $380).

If it has a 1 3/8 inch shearpin input shaft and a 12 spline output shaft, I have them new for $198 + shipping--Ken Sweet

Ken, you were a life saver. My brother-in-law just finished welding the new hub onto my stump-jumper, and it works like a million bucks. Thanks again!
