Well Jarvis, my two personal favorites were Gene Rayburn and Chuck Barris.

(I know, not the same show, but your singing brought back memories of The Gong Show and I always like The Match Game)

By the way, I'm Impressed with the list of emcees. Never realized that show had so many different hosts.

I read every magazine, G rated, that I could.....Then all the Tom Clancy books. Dean Kootz, Star Wars books- and from time to time when I was really really really stuck---
Marine Corps Institure training books.

hmm... first you're a music critic, then a gong show lover, then you're reading critic... boy howdy-- what's next.. did you fly the space shuttle??????

yeah---
back in the day, I did have one Master Gunnery Sgt that changed it to Fountain of somewhat useless knowledge....

Don't recall the details now, but he asked me some question in front of a full bird and my answer was rather lengthy.... He later said the bird was rather impressed that such a young Marine was so knowledgeable..... I think I was a Lance Corporal at the time.

Anyway, it was always interesting....

Nope, had to stay on the ground with the rest of the launch crew......or was that lunch crew......can't remember now. Pretty important job though.

I fail to see how I could qualify as a music critic and a Gong Show lover in the same sentence:laughing:

An inspector critics the work someone does and makes a list of corrections. Hence he would have been an inspector to stay within the theme you started.

Maybe you should take aim at Soundguy first, then work your way up to Bird.

Deerejohn7230 is too easy to catch, his fingers are hurting too much from the twine on the 90# hay bales he's tossing around:laughing:
