Got a call Friday afternoon that the 400 bales of hay that I wanted would be ready in a couple of hours. I was unable to hire any teenage help this year so it was up to me to get it into the barn and stacked. The fork attachment on my loader saved my legs and back. I could stack 8 bales on the forks and get them into the barn without having to carry every one of them up. It was still work and I was beat, but I saved the $ I would have paid those kids, only broke 1 bale and the hay is stacked exactly as I wanted it. Over all even though I'm sore, I'm happy with the end result. I nominate the fork attachment as one of the most useful accessory you can have.

Wife wants to divide the pasture, so I punched 30 holes in the ground through fairly rocky soil. What should have been a two hour job took 5-1/2 thanks to the abundance of shale just below the topsoil. :p

Moved the last of the slab wood from where we had the mill set up, neighbours will come and take what they need for kindling this winter.

I prepared for seat time. :) Engine oil & filter, hydraulic oil & filter, power steering oil & filter. Hosed off the tractor got some dust and gunk out of the radiator. Still have to change coolant & good engine flush and change the oil in the front drive gear boxes.
Dave.

Dug out a ditch that was 12 years old and had filled up a bit with vegetation. Had to be careful as it was 2-3 ft higher on the side I was digging from. Had the loader full of gravel to help keep the front end down. Took care to "feel" how much the bucket was grabbing, didn't want to have the backhoe pull the tractor front up or pull the tractor down into the ditch. Actually went smoothly and I was pretty happy with the result. :D

I guess I have a deluxe  Kioti CK35 that has a cup holder. It is a large bottle of water. :drink: In an emergency it could be used to put out a fire. :D
