MX4700 or L3940?

No, You do not have to remove ANY brackets bolted to the tractor to switch from fel or front blade. The large fel brackets on the side stay on all the time. The pic with the front blade was taken last fall. I got the fel this spring. I dont have any pics of the front blade mounted with fel brackets in place, but trust me, you do not have to remove them. Philip.

Ahhh... that would explain it. We basically noticed the big orange FEL mounts that are bolted on the frame were missing...

Thanks for explaining... I learned something today. Nice design feature for people who need a front blade and FEL. Mine is an older desgn whose FEL brackets are bolted to the axle and frame. That, plus a bit of old age, led to my confusion.

I have a MX5000 and love the machine. 200+ hours and have not had any issues at all. My tractor did not come with the rear hydraulic controls/couplers and it is big enough that I feel that it should have. They make it far more versatile.

I have a L3940 with a cab I have had it about a year now. I have not had any problems with it and it has done all I have ask of it. I thinks it a pretty good all round tractor for what you are looking to do with it. JMO

Congratulations... good choice... should give you many years of good service. You realize, of course, you are obligated to post pics of your new baby upon delivery. You're allowed to wait out the really hot days, but after that, enjoy!

Brady has informed me that a new MX4700 with FEL and R4s arrived at his shop a few days ago. The grapple will be in next week, so...I should be clearing trees, bushhogging, and moving dirt/leveling in about 10 or 11 days. Did I mention spreading 5-6 tons of lime before fall? Fertilizer and seed for the new pasture? Building the small hay barn? Can't wait.... Yes, ACTION pics will be forthcoming. What good are static pics of the MX at rest??? Can I get a "Wooohooo"?
