Thanks for the support :)

I posted the issue and get a response of RTFM. That kinda response would tend to put folks on the defensive. ;)

Tried reading that chinglish manual a dozen times and still no help.

Searched the web for technical support and found this forum, registered, posted the problem and get responses from sales folks and defenders of their product. I could care less about sales tactics and defenses now, I'm stuck with a brand new tractor with 16 hours and a clutch on it that is so stiff I about break the dang steering wheel trying to disengage it.

How about some TECH SUPPORT.

Who is your dealer???
Is he not supporting his sale??
Did you self import the tractor?

Or is this a trolling exercise "get the chinese tractor guys going"????

We'd all like tech support, there just ain't any. Other than your selling dealer that is. That's why self-help forums like this exist.

But there are reasons behind the questions that are being asked. Cuz their ain't not magic button to push to fix your problem. In this format, we nearly always start with questions, if for no other reason than to start narrowing down the scope of the problem. But so far, we haven't seen any answers. Just attitude.

So let me try one more time. Start at the beginning, answers the questions we've posed. Help us help you. Then go back to TFM again, but this time please be so considerate as to outline what it is specifically you don't understand about the Chinglish clutch adjustment procedures.

Where did you get the tractor ? did you get a warranty ? We can help you but you are not giving much information other than it has 16 hours

I would first start by taking the bottom Pin out of the clutch arm that comes out of the leftside housing below the floorboard.Once it's out check all the clutch pedal linkage ,you should be able to do that with you hand once the pin is out,if the pedal and linkage work ok,check the clutch arm where it comes out the side of the housing you should be able to move that arm about a 1" back and forth by hand if it does not move freely, spray some WD40 where the arm comes thru the housing and work it back and forth, spraying it several times in the process. You may have to use a cresent wrench on the bottom of the arm to help with leverage to move it back and forth,That would mean the shaft is rusted up prob. from sitting in the weather a long period after it was assemblied.Once you free it up you should be ok if the clutch works properly

Or better still, time to trade in for a John Deere!

16 hours on a tractor ain't nothing, the clutch shouldn't be this tight, no way no how. Cheap slave labor built the tractor and my bet with the way the economy and politics with china are heading, we won't be able to service this thing for much longer.

Thanks for your opinion ________ ______________.

Who is your dealer???

Would rather not say, as most likely he's on this forum. 4 hours one-way from our ranch and no service available.

Is he not supporting his sale??

Nope, tractor is "too old..." even with only 16 hours.

Did you self import the tractor?

Nope

more details would be a big help.

How many more DETAILS do you need for a STIFF CLUTCH that requires the user to use the steering wheel for leverage?

Or is this a trolling exercise "get the chinese tractor guys going"????

Don't need to "troll". Could care less about the "chinese tractor guys". I just want my tractor fixed.

Already ANSWERED that Greg:

Tried to read the chinglish manual, ineffectual translations, fuzzy/faded b/w pics and no figures or diagrams.

Been there, done that, NO traffic in those forums, questions sit unanswered or the registration is sitting in LIMBO, probably out of business.

The dealer/warranty info has nothing to do with DIY clutch adjustment.
The dealer is 4 hours away one way and NO warranty is available, "too old..." even with only 16 hours on it.

Our problem was outlined in the OP:

...brand new tractor with 16 hours and a clutch on it that is so stiff I about break the dang steering wheel trying to disengage it.

Thanks for the first steps in troubleshooting Tommy, you ROCK my friend :D
