to own an early 60's or older Chevy pick up for your farm to be considered proper? Certainly you can have a farm lacking a 1956 3100, but is it kosher? Here in Idaho most farms(regardless of size) have at least two and the visual impresion I get is: all is well in the world. I don't have one yet, and wonder if that omission has an adverse effect on the attitude of my chickens, goats, horses, and Llama. I am quite certain that cats and dogs are not only distraught but a bit embarrassed.

I think we can all agree it's obligatory to have at least some kind of old truck on a proper farm. If it's an ornament, any will do, but if you plan to use it, get a Ford! :laughing:

They are dime a dozen around Idaho so I will get a 50's vintage Chevy. The old Ford flathead v-8s while beautiful to behold are not as easily to find in running condition. The straight 6 Chevys are indestructable.

My neighbor has a white chevy with a red bed about like this.

I'd say it's somewhere in the mid to late sixties.
I remember his dad buying it back then sometime.
Looks every bit as good as this ford.
