It is a adapter to make your slide hammer from your puller set hook to a pair of vise grips!:licking:

You got it.

Very handy tool. I use it all the time. Just take the adjuster out of your vise grips and put this adjuster/adapter in it's place and use your slide hammer to help pull a part off. It's got me out of some bad situations. Yes I've used it one welding jobs :p

I just try and post some of these unique tools just in case some aren't aware they even exist.

Did that come in one of those hammer sets, or did someone just adapt it for the visegrips?

It looks like a tool that would be easy to make Just weld a long nut used to connect all thread to the end of the vice grip. Would come in very handy.

Yes it's threaded on the inside so it can screw onto the thread of the slide hammer.

I'm thinking that someone is cleaning their shop and putting tools back where they belong :D I had to relocate the SO's storage shed to make room for her horse training ring. When I was inside checking it for level, I found my fiberglass leveling rod. I was sure she lost it, I just didn't know where to look :)

No wasn't cleaning up the shop. I did the "Name This Tool" on one of my local web sites and everyone enjoyed it so I thought I'd try it here. I thought it might be a good way to introduce folks to some not so well known tools that could come in handy some time for them. I used dozens of these tools in that series locally and the locals enjoyed learning about the different tools that we use to get the job done.

As for the cleaning of the shop. I actually clean it before quitting time each day and pressure wash the floors twice a week. Makes for a much nicer work place.
