Bobcat or Not....

I personally have a 335 and while I love it, I wish I would have gotten the 440. Size wise the 440 is only a little larger and heavier, but it is alot more tractor as far as pto and lift capacity for just a little more money. i think its a better buy for the power to weight to price ratio. The 335 is a great tractor though. I regularly pull a 6' disc harrow thru the woods or in open ground making plots and it performs well. I actually had to brace my discs up because I broke the front arm.

Why not get a bigger Mahindra ???

...Well that is a story, but I just feel that the Mahindra wont be as good as the Bobcat. I have seen Bobcats being used as rentals, that has to say something about their quality.

I am going to go with the CT335, price difference between the CT335 and 440 is quite a bit. I have other obligations at this time which makes the 335 a wise and better option. I think it will be head and shoulders over my 2615.

I want to thank everyone for the input, everything said is what I wanted/needed to know.

You won't be dissapointed. When I bought the price diff. was minimal but since then the prices have changed quite a bit from what I hear. You will enjoy it. Best of luck

I don't know about your area, but the rental yards here got the Bobcats back when they were practically giving them away. I think that price had a lot to do with their choice.

I too wanted to know why you were not considering a larger Mahindra. The 3535 or 4035 would have been a good match for you.

Doesn't matter now, and I'm sure that you will be happy with your CT335.

I am sure the price has something to do with this, but also most rental yards have Bobcat skid loaders as well, and 1 less vendor to have to purchase parts from probably has as much to do with it as price, along with the Bobcat name and service

...Well its a long story, but believe it or not I think Bobcat will be a better tractor all the way around. I have used my Mahindra and some days regret getting it, and some days I am thankful I have it. Its a good machine but with out a good service department and good dealer support it becomes a problem....

True enough but the statement applies to green, orange, white, blue and red tractors equally.

I've always thought the Mahindra's were excellent with the caveat that their technology/ergonomics/features lagged a bit behind Kioti. Kioti/Bobcat seem to focus on matching Kubota point for point on features and then undercutting on price. Mahindra has always seemed to me to just focus on putting out an excellent high value tractor without the marketing emphasis on comparing themselves to Kubota. Maybe because Mahindra is so much bigger globally they don't feel they need to play copy cat.
