Tires Need new front tires 1985 yanmar ym2000d

today one of my front tires sidewall decided it was done. I really need all 4 as they are all sun cracked, but for now I just want to replace the fronts. Anyone have a recommendation where I can get a pair of fronts, being this tractor is 4wd, it has the "V" tread just like the back. I am in Northern Arizona but am open to online purchase

Are you sure of the year on your tractor? Thought the 2000D was a 77 - 78 model. There may be many sources for tires but try Hoye. They have nice website with illustrations and tires are available. Good luck.

No I am not sure of the year, not even sure it is a "D" I was told it was a 1985. Is there any way to determine the year? It is a 2 cyl diesel with a Koyker bucket

well according to Hoye it is a "D" as it is 4wd. I thought I had read the "D" stands for 4wd.and you are correct, it is somewhere between 1975 - 79. That's ok with me the hour meter shows 308 hours

I wouldn't trust the hour meter either. It could be 1300 or 2300 or have been set back. Was it straight from Japan or do you happen to have a VN refurb???

I dont know the history. About 1.5 years ago I stopped in the local tractor dealer (now out of business) We had a bad snow storm and I live on 2.5 acres with a 300 ft driveway. Of course the guy tried to sell me some $17k Kioti and when I told him that was too much money and walking out the door, he said wait, that a customer of his had just bought a new tractor and was trading in a "grey market tractor" I went and looked at it and drove it home for $5k. The only problem I have had is the roll pin on the gear shift lever broke. It was an easy fix. I've put about 90 hours on it.

If it helps ... the US version of that tractor was YM240D, sold here for a few years after the YM2000 series ended in Japan. I think the last year here was 1981, maybe 1982.

Any Firestone Ag., or rural tire store should have your tires, although you will probably have to switch to R1 instead of "rice" tires.
