2520 Trans Filter

My dealer has two options for trans filters. A narrow long one for $40 and a wide short one for $11.
On my old 2520 I used the short wide cheaper one. I also never used my mid pto.
I just did my 50 hr service and used a wide filter I already had. I now have a MMM.
My question is am I going to now have a problem getting my MMM PTO shaft on.

I'm getting ready (44hrs) to do my 50 hour on my 2520. Where did they come up with the long narrow one. The only number I could find for a hydro filter is the LVU800097. It's the normal oil filter looking one. That's what is on it now,and I have a MMM. No problem with the PTO shaft.

$11 sounda way to cheap for a transmission filter.. the first filter i bought was like $33 and the last one i got was closer to $40..

Yeah,11.00 doesn't sound right.
I just bought it (LVU800097) two weeks ago,and it was 32.95 plus tax to be exact.

The long narrow one was on from the factory.
If I get a chance tomorrow I will get both part numbers for you.

FYI Canada and USA use same parts catalouge and parts numbers.
I switch dealers between North Dakota and Manitoba all the time when looking up parts online to find a better deal.

The part number is am116156.
JD parts online calls it an oil filter HST $10.20 Canadian at my Manitoba store 17 on hand.
$8.66 at my North Dakota store 18 on hand.
LVU800097 is $33.86 at ND store 2 on hand. LVU800097 is $39.90 at MB store 0 on hand.
My parts man told me when they found out about this filter they quit carrying the others.
The filter is 3.5"x3.5".
The long narrow one that came on the tractor is 4.5"x2.75".
I put one of these "cheap" filters on my first 2520 at 50 hrs, 100 hrs and 200 hrs without a problem.

Learn something new every day. If I can get that much less expensive filter here,that is the one I'll be using from now on.

I forget doesn't the 2520 have a huge metal screen in there to wash out? Or am I thinking of my old JD 2210?
The screen is expensive.
