Kubota 900 speedometer

Have a RTV 900, and the speedometer is not working. Nothing in the manual to use to troubleshoot. Is there any exploded view documents and/or instructions for installing a speedometer?

Not much to it..I believe it just plugs into the wiring harness..Test light it from the plug and see if there's power. Check fuses, etc.

I did not do the install, and i do not know where the senesor is on the tranny.

I'm saying look at the plug on the back of the speedo, under the dash or hood depending on how it's installed....Check for power there.

I installed mine a couple of years ago and just now went looking for the instructions. No can find. Must have given them to the new owner.

But, as I remember the sender is on the right side of the transmission (passenger side), just back of the engine where it connects to the trany and is a plug (3/4" diameter) with a wire that is the same color code as the one on the back of the speedo. It is more toward the bottom side of the trany and has one small bolt holding it in.

In the attached picture it would be above the "r" in ' "right" about here '.
And about the size of a quarter. This is a RTV1100 but it is the only picture I had.

Wire may have pulled off.

so i assume this one pictured does not have eth speedometer? I think the dealer did not install the sensor. I have a plug on the harness right above this area that color code matches the speedo wiring. I got a diagram from the dealer, and the best i can tell the sensor is not there.

The 1100 pictured has a standard speedo. Haven't looked closely at mine, but I'm betting the whole thing is electronic...Could be wrong though.

Here is a picture of the plug you remove to replace with the sensor.
And yes it is all electronic no cable drive for the speedo.
The sensor sends impulses to the speedo and it registers these as your speed.

If you find one of these, the dealer has forgotten to install the sensor.
