how do you tie down your tractor to a trailer?

I haven't hauled mine yet, but when it was delivered, 4 straps on tractor (Kubota L3130). the two back ones connected to the tractor on a bracket above the axle, no sharp edges contacting straps. On the front, they were connected to the frame part sticking out. 4 separate straps (driver said DOT gets excited if one strap (or chain) is used instead of two on each end). also, the driver indicated that any attachments have to be tied down. He had a strap from one corner of the bucket to tie the FEL down. I am still unhappy with myself that I did not take pictures of my tractor being delivered, including how the dealer had secured it.

I put 10k straps over bucket & mtd. box scrape, then chains/rachet binders front/rear axles. Thinking about getting 2 more straps and doing each corner as others previously mentioned.

I use chains for the extra breaking strain . It is one thing to hold a tractor on a trailer and another to make certain it stays with the trailer in the event of an accident . It may not be your fault , someone may run into you or you may swerve to miss a kid chasing a ball and hit an embankment . The Kinetic energy of a load like that will see it coming through the back window with 2 tonne/ton straps at it's rear . An accident you and you passengers would normally survive may change considerably with a tractor trying to overtake you the hard way .

Chains and ratchet binders for me too. I know, overkill for a BX. Over the years I've also had straps break with various loads.

Tomorrow, I'm headed out to pick up a 955 and an 855 that I just bought. I have chains and binders that I use to haul my off-road truck, but I'm still not exactly sure where I'm going to attach to on the tractors. Where is the best place to secure the chains on the rear of these tractors?? I was thinking about using the brackets for the 3pt hitch anti-sway chains.

Four 3/8 chains and binders then 2" straps, or sometimes chains on fel and backhoe if I am expecting rough roads. Anything not installed on the tractor gets multiple chains and binders as appropriate. If I use a single chain on one end of a tractor, I hook it off on each trailer end and use two binders on the tractor ends so it is really two chains with no worry of one end breaking and losing the tractor.

Overkill but if I have an accident of any description, it and the trailer are less likely to part company, whatever I am hauling. If I lose a tractor it won't because I took a shortcut on any part. My dealer uses chains and binders as well.

Take along a clevis and put it in the drawbar. Run the chain through the clevis. Do not try and use the 3 point for this.

One of them doesn't have the drawbar bracket on it. I thing you misunderstood. I'm talking about using the anti-sway chain brackets which are welded onto the ROPS where it bolts to the side of the final drive/transaxle. I have no intention of chaining down by any of the 3ph links or lift arms.
