Is a 48" belly mount mower for the 6100 likely to do a good job of mowing a lawn? My Gravely 50" is excellent, but since I am getting a 6100 soon, I'm wondering if the cutting job will be top shelf. Otherwise, why bother?

Not sure,but you might get better ride also B6100 may allow you to mow tighter places plus the deck might be heavier..shouldn't have to fuel up as often being diesel.

Yes.

No reason for it not to mow nicely. Sharp blades, preferred height adjustment, full tank of fuel, and supper cooking while you mow... No need for it not to serve you well.

I would not bother if you already have a mower, its just one more mower to scrape and maintain.
