Are you marketing to the 300x loaders also? You have a nice set of forks for the homeowner!

Hey nmu,

Yes, sure, these forks fit a wide variety of John Deere loaders. You can see the list (as accurately as I could determine) on my website here:

Tractor Compatibility

There is also a link to this page from the Home page on the website.

The 3000 series are probably the most appropriate machines for these forks, actually. My 2305 isn't even stretching the legs of mine.

Come to think of it, these forks have shown me the limits of my tractor/loader, not the other way around.

Thanks for asking!

On Saturday, I drove down to pick up a set of Chris' pallet forks. Arriving at his secret underground lair housed in a decommissioned missle silo deep in the woods of Central Massachusetts, I was treated to a tour of his state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Unfortunately, the security detail which accompanied us insisted on no photography, so I have no photos to post here, and I cannot discuss in detail all the wonders which I saw there.

I can say that the forks are gorgeous, and Chris has done a beautiful job with them. I haven't put them to much use yet, aside from moving my 47" snowblower to a new spot. Now I have to build a rack in the barn where I can use the forks to stack the blower and the mower deck.

Here's a few pictures of the forks mounted on my 2305.

Yes, and again, TT, sorry for having to make you take that physical endurance test and electrical brain stimulation exam before taking possession. It is standard procedure at all Satcom Level 5 Installations. Like I mentioned, we are hoping to have our POVRS module up and running shortly [Pallet-fork Operational Virtual Reality Simulator] to help simplify the process.

(LPF Buyers are carefully examined and must be found to have little or no desire to exert themselves physically, but high levels of mental acumen and endurance)

Ok, better get back to work...

Thanks again and again TT!

I received my option 2 kit Tuesday and just looked at it this morning. First impression - very professional, well made, and excellent instructions! The plates are all saran wrapped and oiled (with not a single bit of rust on them), and packed in shredded paper so they don't rattle around and scratch up. The instruction document is professional, complete, and well thought out. Looks like something that corporate tech writers put together after a few rounds of QA editing.

Now I just need to get it welded together and painted...

Chris, thanks for a great job on a good looking set of forks!

My thoughts exactly VABlue.....I recieved my option #2 kit on Tuesday also. Welded up and the forks completed their first working mission Wednesday evening......completed the prime/paint chore yesterday.

Great job on the design and marketing Chris....:)

Thanks guys, I spent a lot of time trying to get those documents as clear as possible. I hope they aren't TOO explicit. And of course, if something isn't clear, I would hope you will ask for clarification. Privately or here on the forum, I don't care. I just hope everyone reads and follows them.

And thanks for the kudos!! Please be sure to post or email some photos!

Hey All,

Just a couple of updates to mention, some good news and a bit of grumbly news.

The good news is that I've managed to get the pricing down a bit more on these pallet forks. Some folks will get a few bucks back. The new batch of frame plates were laser cut instead of waterjet, being a little less expensive for the quantities ordered. If your frame plates are laser cut, I will be able to refund the difference.

The grumbly news is that it seems some people have recently been receiving an incorrect part from ATVXpress/SkidSteerExpress. They are getting a 1-1/4" thick top fork rail instead of the 1/2" thick advertised rail. If you have bought a set of forks recently, check them. If you got a thicker rail, think about whether you want to keep it or contact ATVXpress to see about getting an exchange.

Sorry for the trouble and you can be sure I'll be taking steps to make sure this won't happen again!

Last, if you haven't been to the website lately, there are some new images to check out if you have the free time.

Hey All,

Just an FYI for those who received the 1-1/4" thick upper rails instead of the 1/2" advertised ones from ATVExpress, I've ordered some to be made locally. I'm not sure when I'll have them in hand, but possibly later this week. While I was at it, I cleaned up the design a bit and saved a few more pounds.

Replacement uppers from ATVExpress/SkidSteerExpress will probably end up costing less, especially considering shipping, so if they can provide it to you soon, you might want to wait it out. But if you absolutely, positively, have to have it overnight, then I can help.

Going forward, I'll have the ability to get the rails made myself so this won't happen again, though I realize this means nothing to you gents who ended up with those major Snickers Bars at this moment. I'm disappointed about all of this and am making sure it can't happen in the future, whatever future there may be.

I didn't know they advertised 1/2 bars only. I've only seen the 1.25 bars in their auctions. TOP AND BOTTOM PALLET FORKS BAR bobcat attachment fork - eBay (item 360292161141 end time Aug-27-10 13:34:37 PDT)
unless people got the 1.25 bars w/36" forks from this auction which advertised 1/2 bars. NEW 36" PALLET FORKS 2300lb & TOP AND BOTTOM BAR - eBay (item 360291276526 end time Aug-25-10 02:43:14 PDT)
Anyway it's nice of you to get the bars made. I can get used 48" forks at Menards surplus store for $99.00 and then order your kit w/ everything else and weld away.
