Ford 960
I'm looking at a 960, and I need some advice on a fair offer to make. It has straight tin, but poorly painted the wrong color. (entire tractor was repainted; wrong colors) No cracks in the block, radiator is full of clean anti-freeze, gas tank is clean inside, but it is leaking some gas. No PS, has two sets of remotes. Tires are less than 50%, very weather checked. I don't know how long it's been sitting in the shed, but the battery was dead. Gauges are good, except for ammeter. Seller said his Dad bought it 7 years ago for $3000. What's a fair offer to make once they get it running, if it runs good? Thanks for any advice.

Do you mean a Ford 960? If it runs good and by the condition you described I'd offer $1500.

yep.. rowcrops tend to go for less than the ag model fords.

I got a 951 with no tin for 1500$, had a 'basket case' loader with it.

Around here they bring about what a 8N brings even though they are twice the HP. I have a 861 and its super clean and barn kept for the last 30 years with new rubber and new rear rims and its worth about $2000. It also has a 12 volt conversion.
