The local Kioti dealer is totally crackers on the $$$ for his filters. Wonder where I can get them online -shipped. OR, does anyone know if WIX (NAPA) makes them, and if so, what are the model #'s? Looked on WIX's web site and all they list is a fuel & engine filter.

Saw some posts about Bobcat filters, so I supposed I could do that (for a CT355) I guess.

Oh, by "crackers" I mean $15 for one and like $85 (ouch) for the other.

Thanks.

Napa in my area carries the engine oil filter, but not the hydraulic filter for my dk40. If I remember right they couldn't even order the hydraulic filter.

There are several dealers, who participate on this site, that I'm sure could take your filter order and ship them to you at reasonable cost even with shipping charges. They help us on this site with our problems so I'm happy to give them my business when I need something.

I like using the original filters because sometimes not all filters are made the same.

Right on, I bought my filters from Wallace when he was in the Koiti business, he shipped them for cost. I would now try Michigan Iron, or Sweet, or Upper Valley or any of the other dealers who lurk on this site.

...Lurk...???

We kinda enjoy participating. Not looking for wounded prey to take advantage of..... although we do sell KIOTI filters.

Let us know if you need help finding filters.

I do notice that Michigan is contributing a great deal and I appreciate it. If all of the lurking dealers would post we would be better off. I think it is good to lurk and better to post.

That hydro filter is expensive nomatter where you get it. I don't like it either but you want the right part so....

I've smashed three and broken two filter mounts for that low slung hydro filter. I've bought way more of them then any Kioti owner is supposed to buy but always used the high dollar OEM filters.

Use the internet Baby! Go to wixfilters.com and look it up. Jeez man. OK I'll do it for you...

DK35 cross reference:
Wix 33507 fuel
Wix 51324 oil

Hydraulic filter shouldn't be more than 30 bucks. Wix has no cross reference at the moment. There are three different hydraulic filters listed under the various Kioti online parts vendor lists. Please let us know which one you are looking for. you can also look it up in Wix by dimensions if you know them; i.e.: thread size, gasket diameter etc.

So what you've concluded is that Wix does not list a compatible filter right?

MIE- I thought lurking was a technical term for hanging around- no disrespect intended.
We all know you participate even if you are in 'Rich Rod country' you poor people.
We are glad to be rid of him here in the east.

You guys that don't own CK20's have nothing to complain about when it comes to filter prices. The trans filter in the operators area for CK25-35 costs $14.32, for the the CK20 that filter is $68.96. The hydraulic filter under the tractor for CK25-35 is $37.98 for the CK20 $18.81. Don't see any reason I should be paying a dealer nearly $70 for a filter when I can get a NAPA Gold for about $12.

Does anyone know if the Bobcat filters will work with the DK? (as in a CT335 replacement filter)

Remember seeing a post in the Bobcat forum a while back with prices for the CK30/25 (CT230/235) that was considerably less. Any ideas?

Oh btw, I DID check the Inet, and I DID find fuel & engine filters. It's the hydro/tranny ones I was unable to find OR cross reference at either the WIX web site or my local NAPA dealer.

Thanks to all that replied so far.

Yes it is the same and if you want one I have them on the shelf. I sent you a PM

Rick, Are you still going to offer the package filter deal with no shipping or did the economy or color change make that not possible? My shelf is still stocked from the last order but the future will be coming. :)

Hi, I will tell you right now that you will have to use either the Kioti or Bobcat filter for the HST. DO NOT GAMBLE on an aftermarket filter for a component that cost over 2K to replace. The HST filters are expensive,(To us also) but you paid a lot of money for that tractor and only have to change that filter at 200+ hour intervals. Thats like every 2-3 years for most people.
Just sayin' don't be penny wise and pound foolish.

This topic surfaces here on TBN in all the color threads.

Oil filters have a much wider application base. Easier to find, and fuel filters easier still. But hydro-trans filters are not. Yes, they are costly, no matter the color of tractor, but their application base seems narrow. Over the life of a tractor, it will use 3 or 4 engine oil filters to every trans filter. The OEM's hold some of the specs on these trans filters close to the vest as well, it seems to me. Some seem very unique, complete with inner magnetic rings.

The after-market people do not seem to have the specs necessary to build them. Further, given these filters have such a narrow application resulting in small sales market for these, why should they tool up?

There isn't anything too special about most air, oil, or fuel filters, but these trans filters just tend to be OEM only. Just the way it is.

Everytime this subject comes up everybody jumps on the band wagon about how great OEM filters are yet I have never seen anyone show the specs on an OEM filter to prove they are superior to after market. The Wix filter for the CK20HST has dozens of applications for nearly all of the major manufactures of excavating equipment and Cessna hydraulics, are you saying that a filter that is good enough for aircraft applications isn't good enough for a tractor and is 1/6 the cost of OEM.

If youæ±*e not using OEM filter and your tractor in still under warranty you are taking a chance with possibly voiding your warranty, 2K plus labour to save $30 maybe $40 on a filter, after warranty is up its your nickel and you would pay for repair anyway.
I use synthetic Rotella T6, so to skimp on filters does not make sense as specially on HST filters. On a car the oil filters are under less stress and pressure, even though filters are on the low pressure side, often OEM specifications are higher than cheaper clone filters. If I had to change filters every 50 hours, then maybe I would be more concerned with cost.

Oil, fuel, air? Yeah, they are widely available in the aftermarket.
Cheap ones? yeah, but excellent, high quality filters too.

But the issue remains. HST filters? In many, many cases, the top drawer after-market folks like Wix, Hastings/Baldwin and FleetGuard do not even have it listed. Thus, it is a mute point which to use, after-market or OEM.

mx5 you have a ck27 your filters are cheap you push oem but are they superior to aftermarket? I have a cummins motor in my 18 wheeler, Fleetguard is Cummins OEM my truck hates Fleetguard fuel filters I have nothing but problems with them, I have never had a problem with a Baldwin filter ever. Not convinced OEM is better, speculation that they are means nothing, show me the specs. Wix does have a listing for HST filters which will cross to Baldwin Fram NAPA etc, you just gotta know how to look it up.
