Mind if I ask why it will oxidize? Not clean enough underneath is my guess.:confused2:
There is no hardener in that paint. It won't handle the weather as well as if it did. If it got waxed it hold hold up better.
Nothing to do with surface prep. It's also single-stage paint, which is a double-whammy for not having a protective clearcoat layer. Most (not all, but most) orange & red pigments are notoriously the worst for UV fade.

 I know you know what you're doing. You're a car guy (like me). :)

After my wife saw what I did with this tractor, and how quick I did it, she wants to know when I'm going to put my hotrod back together.

The reality is, that I hate paint and body work, so that is why I'm putting off putting my '55 back together.:(

I might have to post some pics of it too.

Here are some pics of the hotrod. It was nearly finished, then I had a little mishap in the rain. I have to find the progress pics, I have all of the parts, I just haven't made the time to put it back together.

edit - No, it is not Kubota Orange, the fact that it is about the same color is pure coincidence. My Dad picked the color it is really 66 Ford Mustang Orange.
