Wow looks great what are the tire sizes and wheels. Where did you get the wheels

Did you get those local ? The 8n Funk is retired and I will be wanting to do the same. Have been able to get by with the 2wd for Yrs. but with quite a few Close Calls  No doubt going to replace it with another Yanmar but with 4wd for WV. didn't have that option back in the day but did have the 6cyl. upgrade.
The old place is just east in Mt.Nebo.:)

Looks like would increase the stability of the tractor for sure:thumbsup:
being the wider tires have now given it a 60" span this means that cutter must be a 5 ftr,? so may I ask and I'm sure many other members here are curious as to how well the tractor handles this size brush cutter? :)
I will one day get larger wheel and tires for the rear of my 2-wd 1700 but so far all I have found is the lower size tires/wheel combo, I want to try and stay with the 24" x 12" wide;)

Just an optical illusion on cutter being it is closer to the camera, it is a 4' cut but width of all the metal sides makes it 54" total. Unit came from LMTC in March 2007, bought sight unseen and been the best money ever spent, trouble free and saved $6K as compared to the John Deere 790 I was looking at. Rims from Hoye Tractor in December of '09, they had free shipping which saved a ton. Both great people to deal with. Tires from a good friend of mine who is a dealer and bought at his cost. All in all the upgrade came in at about $1000.00, but outside the quality and price of the tractor it is the best $$$ I have spent to make my work around the farm safer and easier. Still looking at making 4" spacers made for the rears to widen the stance a bit more. So much pros and cons on this has made me hesitate a bit and may wait until winter to get started on them, will post info, specs, and cost when I get done if anyone may be interested.

Deep my 8X22 measure 49" outside to outside. Are you sure you have your Rims spun to give them the widest stance? You would be maxed out with a 5' BH. HP. would be my biggest concern. I use a 5' JD finishing mower and have 4 more eng. Hp. than you 1hp. Pto and would not go over a 4' BH. IMO.better to have a little more than just not enough. I believe a good rule of thumb is 4HP.Pto per foot of IMP.

Ritchie. There wasn't much of a doubt were that unit came from looking at your picks. I moved to Ohio from WV. in the 70's and lived within 20 miles from both of LMTC Locations for Yrs. it would be nice to know Manufacturer of those tires????

The tires are made by Titan. By the way, my uncle was a school bus driver in Nicholas County for years if that is the Mt. Nebo you lived in Carey.

My uncles name is Don Ritchie, think he retired from the school system in Nicholas and the farm he grew up on is just across the ridge from my place. I am about 40 miles SE of Parkersburg. Wish my grandfather was still alive to see what a 4WD Yanmar can do on the ground we had to mow with a scythe when I was young!
