Very nice job, Want to come do mine? It is the last room in the house to be "re-modeled".
The floor doesn't really match up to the house entrance smoothly, so I know something is slipping......

To prevent joists from rotting, I learned the hard way to install rubber sticky flashing like what is used around windows along the top edge of the joists before the boards go down. This keeps the water off of the joists. I've had good luck with Protecto Wrap. It comes in 4" rolls and is easy to work with. A cheaper, but lesser solution is to use tar paper ripped to 3-4" and nailed on.

Or, use pressure treated 2x8's. Should last a long long time.
