I just bought this machine in very good condition; I really like that it is a low HP machine, light weight and lots of low gear:thumbsup:. Does anyone have or know of a source for a service manual for this?
I would really like a pdf but hard copy is fine. I found one dealer selling them State-side but $50 for the book and $50 shipping is not good (plus border charges, Canada Post...).

mwb,

I have the same engine in my 2000 Arctic Cat 300 4x4 and I got he manual from the dealer for under $50 about 8-9 years ago. You may want to join a forum group and see if anyone knows of a link to obtain it for free.
Are you having any problems?
How do you like it so far?
The machine is basically a tractor with all the gearing 5 speed on 3 ranges great for working around the house or puttin' in the woods. The acceleration isn't the greatest but it will get where it needs to be. There is a trick that may work on yours if you adjust the front diff lever or cable pending year you can have 2wd,4wd(actually 3wd), and 4wdLOCK. I have mine set for 4wd, and 4wdLOCK because I don't trail ride it with my buddies I use it for working around house, and hunting.
Grut

Check our Ebay. I have found manuals for several things there, and generally at a pretty good price, like $10-$20. You may have to watch for a while but they pop up.

There is nothing wrong with it, I want a manual just in case;)

I found an article on the lever/cable mod to allow the front diff to be locked in high and low (not just super low) - not sure if i will do that.

I finally got to try the machine on a challenging bush trail this weekend; it could use a little more ground clearance but i was very happy with the performance. I will be adding four wheel chains - that will help a lot.

I don't "trail ride", don't care about acceleration. I like that it is light enough that I can pick up the front or back and that it has really low gearing.

I will keep searching for a manual.

I hear ya on having a manual for the just in case times. Sure is alot easier than trying to find one after something breaks..

Good luck in the hunt for the manual..
