MD3
That is good to hear. The thought of the faulty control valve didn't sound good. :D

The quick couplers you are referencing in your note; are those going to your Loader, or your 3-point? I have 4700 with exact same issue. I do not yet have a loader on this unit, although it is set up for a loader, I am experiencing the same issue when I connect 3 point implement to rear. (box blade and soon heavy duty cutter) I am new to any maintenance or repairs on a tractor, so you will have to forgive my ignorance on this issue.

My JD4600 would self adjust at times even when it was new. It would self adjust maybe a couple of times a minute with a 6 Bush Hog hanging off the 3 point arms. When my problem began it would self adjust maybe a couple of times in 10 seconds. Do not go by these times due to it just being a guess but you can see the difference. I have a JD backhoe from the dealer and this requires quick disconnects at the back of the tractor. When the backhoe is not hooked up you must connect a loop hose to this QD. That is where my problem was. It had nothing to do with the FEL. What is the self adjust rate for your machine?

Hello neighbor. Windsor for me also. You know Jim W. I bet.

No, I don't know Jim W. (at least I don't think I do). Windsor is a pretty big borough.

If you know White Oak RD. and Manner RD. you are just about there.

Sorry MD3. I am still new to tractor speak. Can you explain what "self adjust rate" refers to and where I can locate? I have a 2000 4700 4x4 ehydro.

MD3, if you mean the self adjust rate for how fast/slow the 3pt arms react to hydrolic control, that is beneath the driver's seat.

Yep, I come across White Oak Road daily. Turn left at Manor Road.
Are you the gent with the Deere (with backhoe) that was setting at the end of the drive for about 3 weeks last winter? I thought it was a 4400, but I could be mistaken.
