Trailer for B26

When you transport, do you rest the BH bucket down on the trailer or is it ok to use the pin and hook locking devices installed on the tractor?

What part of the following didn't you understand ?:

You really need to get the bucket and the BH both on the trailers deck and secured down also to prevent stress from the load bouncing during transit.

First, I want 16' max. If I could squeeze it on a 14' I would.
Second, I don't want the stand up ramps.
And third, where are you located? How far off of the NYS thruway (87) are you?

All of my equipment trailers have stand up ramps. It is much safer to loader equipment on a trailer with stabilizers on the ramps.
It is less stress on the tongue of the trailer less stress of the hitch of the tow vehicle.
With pull out ramps you will either have to block the back of the trailer or get stabilizer jacks. Or just take the risk of having the trailer and TV run away.
I'm not saying you should not buy a trailer with slide in ramps just be prepared.
I am approx 1-1/2 hours from the thruway.

If you want to avoid making an expensive mistake,you should listen to the ones with experience, advising a longer better balancing trailer.I NOW have an 18' stand up ramp trailer with the stablizers to keep the rear of the trailer from sinking and the rear of the towing truck ON the ground.

I agree with the guys. In this case bigger is better. Especially if you have a smaller tow vehicle. Getting the load balanced takes room and you need length of a longer trailer to get the proper angle for the chains to be effective.

I do not like stand up ramps myself either. I am always hauling stuff longer than my trailer. I have even backed it into the lake and loaded a boat on it. Slide in ramps for me. I carry a cheap set of $12 jack stands in the tool box to support the rear of the trailer when loading heavier objects like tractors and vehicles.

By the way I have a very similar sized tractor as you, a Jinma 28HP 4x4 tractor, and I could never fit it on a 14' trailer with the loader on and anything on the 3 point. I have a 18' trailer and it takes every square inch.

When you say a 14'-16' dump, do you mean a tilt bed trailer? Will it fit on a 14'?. When you transport, do you rest the BH bucket down on the trailer or is it ok to use the pin and hook locking devices installed on the tractor?

I would get a 14 foot dump bed not a tilt but they are pricey:thumbsup:. I could get mine on a 14 foot if that was all I had. I have had to haul it on a 12 foot but front bucket was hanging over and so was the backhoe.

On a 16' trailer I don't have room to put the hoe down on the trailer so I leave it secured on with the factory saftey holder, as I do on all the trailers come to think of it I have never put the hoe down on the trailer when hauling, and it get hauled daily and we have not had any issues yet.

With a anything 16 foot and under you will not have any room to adjust your weight and with a rough cut mower on the back it really hangs out there on the small trailers.

And yes you need brakes on all axles no matter what size trailer you put it on. Even pulling it with the F450 I need the trailer brakes to slow it down.

My old Kubota was the same size as a B26. I have a 16' dual axle trailer. It fit fine with loader/scraper on the tractor. However, when I had the mower on the tractor, with the loader, the mower tail wheel hung off the trailer. And, I had no room for load balance. My B8200HST was only about 2000lbs though, so the load, even misbalanced, was pretty light.

the backhoe would hang off like the mower. I would not consider anything less than 16', or else you will have stuff hanging off, and have a difficult time balancing the load.

What size trailer is that in the picture?

Its a 16 foot with 2 6k axles with brakes on both. The axles are a little far to the back, so it puts pleanty of weight on the truck. Its more like a 75/25 instead of the normal 60/40. It weights 2300lbs or so and pulls great.
