The 3PH stump grinder that I have reseasrched (Like the Woods unit) have a 2-spool valve built right on them for the lift and swing so it is easy to operate off-seat.

Both the Woods and the Worksaver units I have just researched recommend using two hydraulic circuits from the tractor seat....which would be nice for quickly positioning the tractor by the stumps.....but I'm all ears if there is another way.

When buying my 4520 last year I wanted a setup the same as my 110tlb has with three front and three rear ports. Why doesn't Deere offer this on the compact series?

Without a fel on my 4520 I removed the front steel lines and rerouted the couplers to the rear so that the joystick controls the topntilt hitch. Have the third outlet to control the hydraulic scarifiers. This way both the 110 and 4520 can both operate three function rear implements.

My point is that when upgrading to a new tractor go ahead and cough up for the electric diverter valve. Get all the hydraulics from day one, they will make your tractor experience more pleasant. If I ever feel the need for a fel on the 4520 I will have to add the diverter too.

So....I've read lots of threads the past few days as I have pondered my next move on hydraulics.......and I have some conflicting information I have read here that I need to clear up. :confused2: Please don't answer if you dont KNOW the answer to this question. (I don't want to operate the search function and read for two more days )

Question: On the JD 3X20 series (TWENTY SERIES) tractors will you lose the 3 point hitch functions when using the power beyond?....or when operating spool valves derived from the power beyond circuit? (an example would be Bob Gerkins set up (above) on his 3X20)

I have read BOTH ways on this site and heard BOTH things.....and I need to clear this up. Thanks :)

There are two returns, one goes directly to the tank, the other feeds the 3PH.

Not if you use the return that feeds the 3PH.

Kenny,
If I hook up the BH there is no way to return for the 3PH on the 3320 with power beyond.

I understand that 100%.
But the question is, if you plumb a valve to the PB lines, do you loose the 3PH. That answer is no because you use the return port that feeds the 3PH.
