I am hoping that you guys out there can shed some light on this subject, I am looking to purchase a 3 point landscape rake for my JD 2320. I looked at the Frontier brand Saturday and the local dealer will sell me a LF20 which is 72" wide for 650$. I know that this will hook right up to my imatch hitch. Tractor supply also has a 72" landscape rake for 399$ made by countryline. I have not been able to see it in person, just on the website. The Tractor supply one does not have a jack stand, (thats not the problem) I am wondering if it is Imatch compatable, which makes it nice to change over from the box blade, to a rake, or to a rotary cutter. Do any of you out there own one of these? And what is your opinion of either one. I called the tractor supply store and they can't tell me if it is imatch compatable. Is 72" the size I should get?

You may have to alter your pins.??

After that, you will want to be sure that the pins are compatable with the width of the rake.

The CountyLine will do you just fine. Key is to go slow and pay attention.

I have both....a rake and a rear blade, both are CountyLine. I use the rear blade 4 out of 5 times. The blade is much preferred over the rake, for me.

I pull, (and lift), the 72" Landpride with wheels with my 2320. Works well so far.

72" is fine for a 2320. I've used my neighbor's KK 72" which TSC sold before switching to County Line. Generally, I think quality of a CL is fine unless you're a heavy user. Depends on how much use you intend and what kind of use but I can't see spending hundreds more for the frontier....

I use a 7' Farm and Family rake on my 4600. It works well. I have used actual York Rakes with wheels, and while they are better, I couldn't justify the added cost of one for my use. As for imatch, I don't know. But its a pretty normal 3 point distance, so there shouldn't be an issue with being an odd size or anything.

A lot of the cheaper attachments that I have looked at have their bracing welded under the the 3rd point pin, making it impossible to hook up with a quick hitch without modifications to their bracing.

This is exactly what I found out when I was looking at the TSC rake last year. I ended up getting an ABI landscape rake for 500$. It works well with my Harbor Freight quick hitch and I am pretty sure it will work with the JD version.

72 works well with my 855 which is about the same size as your 2320. I am very satisfied with the ABI rake. Quality is between TSC and Frontier, it has a jack stand and is quick hitch compatible. This was what I was looking for. I levelled and removed rocks on a newly bulldozed 1.5 acres with it and it still looks good.

That's good to know. I was looking at the ABI, among others, and was wondering about the quality.

As far as CL rakes and blades, my friend got a used tractor (990) and one came with it. It was bent from use but still does the job. The 2320 should be fine with it.

I mod my attachments to fit the I-match. Not much to it, most times it's just a matter of cutting some steel but I have the tools to do it. My dealer told me that some people do complain about the I-match and implements from other companies.

I have had a 72" Frontier rake and liked it a lot. Your 2320 will have no trouble at all handling that sized rake. I cannot speak to other brands, but I have heard from many that wheeled rakes are better. That said, mine did not have wheels yet did a fantastic job smoothing my gravel drive. Unless it was heavily rutted, the rake did a much better job than either a landplane or a box blade, though I had them both in case. I even used to move snow with it. I would plow the largest part of the snow off with my blade, and then take the landscape rake to "comb" the remaining snow off the gravel. It did pretty well if the snow was not icy, and my gravel stayed on the driveway, not in the mulch bed.

I don't think the Country Line will work very well with your John Deere hitch. The cheaper King Kutter (Country Line) aren't built to be used with a quick hitch without the adapter on the top. King Kutter does make rakes that will work with a quick hitch but are a little more money. And nobody seems to stock them. Go get a brochure of King Kutter equipment or look online and it says what works with quick hitches. I wish my local farm stores knew more about quick hitches. They sell them but don't carry extra adaptor collars to put on other attachments. Even Tractor Supply only sold them individually (for people who lost one) at a very high price.
