Ceramic Blanket for Wood stove

The blanket is usually placed above the baffle board of a modern non-catalytic EPA stove. The blanket adds insulative value to the baffle and holds even more heat in the firebox where it can burn hotter and burn up more of the smoke.

My thanks to you both, I not used one of the newer stoves. I am still

running a couple that were welded up in home shops during the oil

crunch of the 70's; one flat plate and one diamond plate, no brick

or baffles in either.
