I am looking at a Frontier RB1172 rear blade and wanted to know if anyone has one or have used one? It looks pretty well built, does it hold up? If you have one, what are you using to pull it? What is a fair price for one in good shape?

Thanks much.

Taxes are due, but I can still look at implements, just not buy until taxes are paid!:D

To be honest, I did ask for prices on an 8 foot brush-hog while I was at the dealer this morning. I think that's going to be out of my price range for a while though.:( $5487 list.

It continues to surprise me on the prices of attachments...

Although the tractor I have works well for me, the biggest drawback of having a Cat-2 tractor around here is that finding attachments to fit it is almost impossible without ordering new. Even the dealer doesn't have a brush-hog bigger than 6 foot without having to order it in. Hard to even find a 6 footer on CL.:( Plenty of 4 and 5 footers though.

I'm about 6 foot wide on the rear tires now and once I get my duels installed, I'll be close to 9 foot.

Wow, that sure sounds high, what model was it? If Bush Hog is that much $$$$, I would start looking at Land Pride, my RBT45108 was no where near that much money and my blade would be more than what your tractor needs.

Frontier use to be built by Woods for Deere. Don't know if that is the case anymore, but early models looked just like their Woods counterparts, except painted JD green.
