Rear Remote question

The kit cost around $600.

I would definately install both remotes at one time! As for the cylinders, I have a top link by CCM... and my side link was built for me by Brian "MtnViewRanch" (two posts above). Both are very high quality with nice craftsmanship.

Sprocket, did you get the side link installed? If so, how much would you say the tilt cylinder has helped in your grading?

Just wondering, I think that some people tend to use them more than others that have them and your conditions-projects are very much in favor of using it, a lot. :D

I can't seem to find many hydraulic cylinders (searching the web) which fit my specs. 2" cylinder with 4" stroke. Somewhere around 14-18" from retracted to extended (hole to hole) It is also clevis on both sides which I'll need. Several are close to the specs but more are much longer and cost around 200 dollars.

I decided to try ebay and ran across this: 2" Bore, 4" Stroke, Tie Rod Hydraulic Cylinder - eBay (item 280429907209 end time Oct-22-10 19:47:56 PDT)

buy it now for 51.80 - you can't beat the price, I'm just wondering if it will work properly. You probably get what you pay for but for that price I might just give it a try.

Keep in mind that it will be very difficult at best to find a standard hydraulic that is going to work out properly for a side link cylinder. Most if not all are going to need some sort of alteration.

There is a reason that they cost $250.;)

Brian, Yes the side link you built for me is installed and working great. I have not yet given it a real workout, but my barn will be removed this weekend and I will start grading for the larger barn on Saturday. I installed it on the right side and moved the manually adjustable link to the left side in place of the solid link as you suggested to give maximum adjustability.
