Oh yeah and when I went to pick up the exchange battery charger the girl outside who remembered me from before she was like I don't trust those things.

It would be nice if people could post up hyperlinks to the items on HF website. That would sure make it easier knowing which item you were talking about... especially since HF has numerous duplicates of different quality.

Agree. Plus if you list the HF stock number, it makes your post searchable.:thumbsup:

I spent a part of the day using a HF bench grinder for the first time to sharpen different tools (mostly HF :)). The grinder itself is pretty good, although it did bog down a few times. The safety shields fell off shortly after we started using it, and the tool rests seem bent. Oh, did anyone ever notice that freshly ground tools are VERY hot...:ashamed:

I've found stock numbers change over the years for 'sets' like sockets. So keep in mind the # may no longer exist but the actual items may exist in a different set or new part number.

:D

On a related point - they keep the manuals online for years after an item is dropped.

To find the manual for an item no longer sold, look up the manual for an existing item and see how the manual inquiry is phrased, something like "manuals\10,00~15,000\12784". Then construct a similar inquiry that uses your #.

Id say when ever you buy a HF item look it up and opent he PDF file and save a copy to the PC. Ive found this is great to have a copy and of cource can be printed anytime..

Found another keeper. Their largest rubber headed hammer when it is on sale only. It's maybe four pounds and packs a real wallop.
The extra inertia puts hubcaps on with one whack and ag stuff that needs persuading doesn't get damaged.
