Anyone know the nut size on the blades for the RC72-30B? The largest socket I have is 1 1/8 and it's too small.

Also, everyone go with the standard Kubota blades when replacing them or is there something better?

I have about 130 hour of mowing time and it seems the blades need sharpened or replaced. Is it difficult to sharpent the blades?

They can be sharpen... I leave mine on the tractor, raise it, block it so it can not fall on you, grind away...

How many rocks have you hit??? That might be a factor to think about... but they should last for years.

I occassionaly hit a little gravel. When I cut some of the areas that I let go for a bit too long, it may take a couple passes to clip is down low (2 1/2 inches) where some of the tall stuff (native grass) was. I assumed the blades may need sharpened or replaced.

Do you know the socket size needed to remove the bolt/nut holding the blades on?

I did find the old part # was 76553-34330 and the new part # is 70000-25002.

I seem to recall this question here before and 30mm was the size.1 3/16" is also close.Typical size for front wheel drive cars-removes the front axle retaining nut before replacing the front wheel bearings(hub assemblies).Good Luck!
