saracenas-- here's a couple of shots of the area where I live. Yes, we have snow! Right now the leaves are busy falling, winter's around the corner.

I enjoyed very much looking at many photos and a couple of videos of your contrymen's 2000km trip!

irvingj,

Thank You very much for the photos. I like the mountains very much. Unfortunately we dont have them here in Lithuania. Only the hills. I see a photo done from a aircraft. You've probably took that Yourself. I'm surprised it's snowing already in Your area?!!! ... What we have over here, is only early frosts, 'cause there is a anticyclone formation above us and a temperature is around 13C (55F) degrees at daytime and -5C (23F) at night.
It's glad to hear You've enjoined the visualization of the 2000km trip.

Please take a look at some promissed pics taken just yesterday.
Pic #1 - Pine tree with a frosted up needles and the hanging spider-webs - also frosted up. And beyond the pine tree You see frosted grass (but that's still not a snow).
Pic #2 - Landscape looking from a house. Fence is a makeshift built to protect plants from being eaten by the wild animals, especially roes. Me I don't like the fences.
Pic # 3 - Wooden house seen here from the south. Not finished yet :ashamed:
Pic # 4 - A lake 300 ha (741 acres) - our fishing and swimming place.

irvingj,
some more pics for You.

Pic #1 - It's my mother's birthplace (she was born in 1925). Now mother's brother Antanas Tamosiunas (82 years old) is living over here. This farm is located in about 7 km (4,3 miles) away from mine, in the village of Daugailiai.
Pic #2 - Daugailiai mound. There are more than 800 of mounds in the territory of Lithuania. First historical reference of the Daugailiai castle on it, was the 1254 year. It was wooden, indeed.
Pic #3 - The Catholic Church of Daugailiai built in 1852. Each time we are in a farm, each time we are visiting this church on the Sunday's Mass.
Pic #4 - Me in a trailer ... :)

And some machinery for You - irvingj - and for the others :)

Picts #1 & #2 - My 82 years old uncle Antanas Tamosiunas riding on his old 25 hp russian "Vladimirec T-25". He has 13 children - all of them now are self-sufficient. He says he must work. If he wouldn't, he would die right now. That's a philosophy of him. He also has a horse, but at the time of taking photo it was borrowed by a neighbour, who has no tractor and uses uncle's horse for a ploughing. Uncle uses his horse and the carriage for transport purposes, ex. to get to a Church or to a doctor, or just to a village shop. And he is so conservative, that he has never had neither driving licence, nor a car.

Pics #3 & #4 - Wife is doing autumns's planting jobs with a Kubota L2202.

I know it is a joke, LBrown59. By the way - a very good joke...
Me either ... I was joking too.
And yes, for sure, we both would enjoy the meeting.

Yes I would like to see that photo and what sort of linkage is used. I have modified my 3rd point bracket for a variety of things and always interested in others. Do you ever load the bucket to the point that your front end is light? I see you do not have a loader, any reason other than cost for that? Your english is better than a lot of people write here in the USA, keep up the good work. You may have provided me a use for the buckets I have sitting here because of what I prefer to keep on my loader. TBN'ers please notice my constraint here. ;) Really like your outside the box thinking! Looking forward to your reply.

I've taken some photos of the 3ph buckets for You. Look if they help You :)

I'll also add my welcome, and yes, your English is very good! (I think English has to be one of the hardest languages to learn.)

Please post more pics of the contryside in Lithuania-- I've never been there, but have been to Sweden and Finland several times. Very nice area there, lots of history! I have a neighbor who is from Estonia, her license plate reads "EESTI." Always wanted to visit that side of the Baltic.:)
Yeah some of us Americans struggle with it.

Some of us too. There is a special expression to mark them: "From the gook to the duke" :D

saracenas- sorry for the confusion... No, we don't have snow.. yet! It really looks like your area and mine are similar; right now the leaves are raining down. Those snow pics were from last year.

Here are some shots of what it looks like now. Very cool in the morning, pleasant in the afternoon... but now we're in for some rain.

Oh, and here's the airplane I took that photo from- a WWII-vintage AT-6 trainer aircraft. Very nice to fly!:D:D
