Well ya wouldn't eat your dog ... so maybe for him the pig is better.

Excellent point, Sir. Not to mention that Precious Bride would take umbrage if I cooked her Corgi's ...

BUT - (And you know what Dr. Phil says about "...But...")

I want to see how cuddly Eddie thinks "This Little Piggy" is in about 9 months .... I bet he names her "Poke Chop" ... :licking:

Like my old Cajun buddy Marcel Johnson used to say ... "DEMS GOOD EATIN!"

Be Safe!

Could have been worse. When I lived alone I I had the 4 white German sheperds and i nthe spring I opened the front and back doors and slept in the recliner. I was layed back asleep aand I didnt wake up but felt the dogs scramble out i nthe yard. About 10 minutes later I felt Tank the big one rubbing up against my chair like he wanted me to scratch his rump. About that time something plopped down in my lap and it was weird feeling and moving. I peaked an eye open to see a still trying to escape armadillo in my lap. Talk about tearing a recliner up gettin out of it lol.

Now I'm trying out a pig for a pet. Seems to be a lot like a dog, but more entertaining to watch.

Eddie

Did you name him Sausage?

About 8 years ago a border collie pup showed up on our lawn. He wandered the streets for a few weeks before I finally decided to adopt him. He's amazing!! I've taught him some commands. If he can understand what I want from him, there's nothing in the world that will stop him from doing it. He's athletic beyond imagination, and he's loyal. He's a great dog.

We take him camping, and he babysits the kids. If the kids want to explore the woods there are two rules: They have to stay where they can see the truck, and they have to take Gus. He came back to camp once without the kids. I thought I was stuck in an episode of Lassie. He was acting nervous, and he led us right to where the kids were. They were fine but scared because they'd made a wrong turn and couldn't see the truck anymore.

I could tell stories all day about that dog, but I'll refrain and let others share.

Count me as a dog guy.

We got our terrier mix at the Humane Society about 3 years ago and he is my best friend.

That dog will do anything for our Family, always is watching out for the kids and barks long before we people can see/hear anything approaching the house.

I never had any pets growing up ... but after getting this dog I realize what I missed not having a dog as a pet as a child. At least my 2 boys aren't missing that experience.

Iplayfarmer you reminded me of 6 years ago when my 2 year old girl walked out in the corn. SHe would'nt respond to calls for her. Thought I was going to have to call the fire department to come help walk rows looking for her. 320 acre field. Told the LAB go find Roz The lab has a bad manner of licking kids faces and she licked roz face and she hollered at the dog.

Went out the front door this morning and the dog had left another present on the walk, another dead mole, loving this dog more every day.
