I have one of those electric "Karcher" brand pressure washers and it works just fine for me. I need a longer cord, however, to keep crud washed off away from my drilled well.
Anyone know if I could use maybe a 20 ft. extension cord with it and be OK? Owner's manual gives no mention.

Probably ok, but the heavier the cord wire, the better. 16 ga, better than 18 ga. 14ga better yet.

youll be fine with a 50 foot cord with 12 wire using that outside around the water id plug into a ground fault at your receptacle electricity and water dont mix and if your cord gets pinched you could get lit up bad thing about 120 volts is that it holds you not like higher voltage that blows you off after it blows off arms and legs. Only reason i say all this is because im a electrician by trade and have seen what short cuts can do. GOOD LUCK!

Lucky. 60KV only leaves holes. Entry and exit. The rest is pretty much up to god. I'm not an electrician, but I work at hydro electric dams that routinely have 250KV ring buss switching stations. If you don't respect it, better buy a lottery ticket.
I'd put a GFCI at source and go with twelve gauge or better.

I've got a 10 or 12 ga ext cord that has a spearate GFI on it and a GFI barn circuit.
The cord is maybe 20 ft long, I don't plan to get it wet and am deeply afraid of electricity.
Think that formula would work?

10 or 12 gauge for 20 feet should be no problem at all.

GFI is the one thing I wanted to hear. 10 or 12 gauge on 20 ft and you should be fine.

So, I finished everything with my Karcher el-cheapo electric pressure washer and got surprisingly good results. Photos attached. That thing cut grease it shouldn't have.
If you look inside the bucket in the loader photo and at the grease you can see what I started with. I did not clean things for two years--I had a good excuse----and they came out great.
After pressure washing I took the bucket and rag to things and did the hand wash. Interesting point here...normally I use dishwashing detergent and I did today but things weren't getting clean. So I poured some Sam's Club "no-rinse" floor cleaner in and the results were amazing. All the greased and crud and spots of whatever wahed off with the floor cleaner. I'm not saying to use it until you make sure it woun't hurt your paint but mine came out great.
The Deere 5520 looks better than it ever did, with the exception of new and the Deere 790 is as clean as is possible for something that you use.
Tractors are good and clean tractors are even better.
