A TSC store just opened in Covington, La. They have their Grand Opening this weekend. I pass it every day. I need to leave my wallet home. I have already looked at their post hole digger, lawn sweeper, and other goodies. Is there a program for tractor junkies? "Hi, my name is Norm, and I want a 3 point tiller."

I don't know if there is Norm, but if you find one, let me know so I can get my Dad enrolled!

I would wager in the past year alone he's bought 3 old tractors, 4 vintage lawnmowers, and been to about 30 auctions where he almost always purchases some old tool or implement!:D

If work didn't keep me busy, I'd probably be right there with him!

We're figurin' on building at least a 3000 sq.ft shop in a year or two just to store everything, but at his present rate we might just have to double that!:confused2:

Welcome to the meeting, Norm. Here at TractorHolics Anonomous, we will support your recovery efforts. This may take a lifetime, if you're lucky.

Don't forget-we use first names only at meetings.

I, too, am a TractorHolic...

Greg

P.S. I've got an overwhelming desire for a Grading Scraper, so I need all the support I can get until I get one!

That doesn't necessarily make you a bad person.

But only admit you have a problem if it gets in the way of putting food on the table. Other than that just try to cut back to 1 implement a month and you will be fine. So your TSC impulses are in check.

I can't say I care too much for TSC ...to be honest I've only been in one once.

But growing old tinkering with an old 8n is enough to keep me young.

You have Christmas list don't you. ;)

Are you sure it's not one of the cashiers that's got you hooked? There are 3 stores in my 'hood and each one has eye candy. Of course, helping some of the gals with their new horse addiction can be a distraction problem too. You've probably heard what riding a horse does to parts of the body. Well, it's true.

Wait until you find out that all those farm machinery parts on the shelves can bring an old discarded mower, rake or baler back to life. You can put 2 and 2 together and get horse + machinery addiction.

Nap61 I am very new to the forum and can tell you all I know about tractor and stuff it should take about 15 seconds, But I can tell you TSC is about the coolest store I have ever seen. If you are looking for a part to repair something, and they don't have it usually someone in the store has already fixed it a better way with parts they have in stock And the candy up front is nice too. (both kinds)

Norm,
As you may have figured out, TBN (the talking cure) is the program. I got my 3PT tiller from the TSC up the road and that was some of the best money I ever spent.

Yeah Bill. There's that part of the equation, too. There are 3 stores that are just within an hours drive for me and 2 of them I could take or leave, but the one in Enfield seems to be well run with friendly, helpful and surprisingly knowledgeable employees. Matter of fact, I think I need to stop by there today ...
