Massey Ferguson GC2410tlb w/ R1 and Rimguard
Took a drive to the dealer yesterday. Brought my front tires with me to get loaded with Rimguard. I've had this on my mind since I got my GC2410 TLB. When I go up a fairly steep slope, the front can get light enough so I can't turn the tractor. Front tires are coming of the ground. I suspect the 50 lbs of thumb welded on the bh contributes to this.

Now I know the front tires on a scut are tiny. But I figured every little bit helps, right? Got em filled, probably a little over 2 gallons in each tire. I'm guessing each tire was about 25lbs heavier after the fill.

Fired up the tractor today, headed for the same slope and sure enough, I now had just that little bit extra weight to keep the front tires on the ground so I could steer. :cool2:

So I can say loading the fronts of a scut won't transform the machine, but in certain situations it is noticeable. And the best part was the bill at the dealer came to $10 :thumbsup:

Glad it worked out for you. Results for 10 bucks is hard to come by now days. :thumbsup:

Maybe dirt in bucket might help w/more traction..off set BH.

Do you have l/r split brakes? You can very effectively augment steering with those.

I wish I did. These little SCUTs don't have split breaks.
