Without the support bar I'd imagine those bottom tines will bend when hitting rocks or stumps etc. Maybe with really sandy soil they'd be ok.

Considering those bottom tines look to be cut from 3/4" thick plate I'd guess it might not be too much of a problem .... :laughing:
