"We" got the 3038E, but the wife got the Gator

While tractor shopping, the wife saw the compact Gator and just had to have one. She's planning on using it for yardwork, the 2/3 mile round trip to the mailbox & carting her mother around the farm...

Notice what is being garage kept while the beloved AWD Magnum RT sits outside in the cold.

The Gator-CX is sized to fit in a full size pickup bed, has 4 wheel suspension (adjustable on the rear) and a lockable differential. It just fits in the small tilt trailer we've previously mostly used for moving lawn mowers.

He he! SAME HAPPENED TO ME! I got a 5045D, she got her a Gator CX. She loves that little bugger! What mama wants... mama gets!

We've been pleased with ours so far. It's far more useful than we thought it would be. We are starting a fruit orchard on our place, so lots of runs across the pasture with tools/sacks of fertilizer/chainsaws, etc. The previous utility vehicle was a little four wheeler, (Kaw Bayou 200, still have it, a great vehicle), but didn't carry much. This Gator is like a little pickup truck!

My only gripe: they should come with the light kit. We had the dealer add it... we do a little on-roading (mail-box, neighbors house, etc), and it's a real safety issue without the light kit. Oh, we added a trailer hitch, too...

One other thing, Lowes sells the JD seat covers with the pockets on the back. They sell them for the lawn tractors, but they work great for the Gator. Gives you a little more storage and protects the seats.
