I'm getting to the point where I am running out of area to mow with the rotary cutter. We're using the loppers and small chainsaw to cut whats left over, however this requires a lot of bending over.

Wondering if any of you have experience with the above? Is it worth the money or will I just blow it up ? I have in the area of 12ac of dense bush left over along the fence line and what not.

On the first 4hrs, I am doing about 7x the speed I was by hand, and no sore back ... only another 5000' of fenceline to clear ...

So, I guess you bought the 355Fx. I have one of its little brothers, the 235FR. I'm happy with it other than its blade guard makes it difficult to cut off brush as low as I would like.

What's the maximum diameter you've cut through so far?

around 5" ... still trying to get the hang of the bigger stuff (without pinching the blade) ... it pretty much doesn't slow down when cutting which is nice ... a trick I found with cutting low is to cut at a bit of an angle. Not too steep otherwise its pungy territory ... seems to work ok.

Tomorrow is supposed to be nice so I'll be able to get it a good work out (beats using it in the rain). Hoping to get a couple hundred feet of fenceline cut ... if not more.
