I was afraid of that. I gotta look into getting a set of chains for the rear. How cheap can i get away with this.

Not cheap with R4's, but here ya go: Tire Chains by TireChains.com

Regular 'ladder' chains may fall between your tread rendering them useless, but some have had success with them.
I bought my tractor specifically because it had turf tires, so I could use ladder chains and weight. I'm on a hill also.
EDIT: I should also mention that my driveway is paved, and my garage has a concrete floor.

The reason I mention this is........Aggressive tire chains look good, but can do serious damage to blacktop and concrete.(be careful when ordering)

Just moved here from the coast 3 months ago and have never lived in snow country before. GC 2610 TLB is now 4 days old. I'm about to buy a rear blade and try using it with the loader for the first winter. I'll get a front blower for it if I'm not happy with that. My back-up machine is in the background. That's also new, I've never ridden one before but we're only 1/2 hour away from one of the good sledding areas and I'm not2old to learn something new.

According to Google your area gets around 70 inches of snow. Depending on the size and slope of the area to be cleared, a blower and tire chains would make the task less tedious/stressful.

I'll second other comments. Plan on buying a blower. Rear is more affordable & easier to remove & re-attach. Front easier to use, but more $$$. I have a similar set up to what you have. I found out:thumbsup: real quick a rear blade is marginal at best. The biggest problem is when you can't push the snow back anymore. BTW, Nice sled. If this is your first time living in the snow belt it will be fun / /interesting

Our place is on a steep driveway(1000') that we share with 2 others houses. We have been paying to plow it the past 5 years. I attempted to snow blow it with a cubcadet garden tractor. But it could barley make it up the hill with out getting stuck. Thats with chains. wheel wheights, and a hard sims cab. So This year I hope the kubota will do the trick!!!!

How steep?
I would say we have a moderately steep driveway. What you do is plow a full path on the way down and 1/2 or 1/3, depending on the depth of snow, on the uphill return. Just keep doing this. The only time you need chains is when ice forms, this usually happens after you clear snow and people drive over the remains so make sure you clear as close to the ground as possible.

Also balance you tractor, you want weight in the back but make sure it's also in the front or your blower will be steering your tractor. Some times you can getaway with this just make sure your tractor is directly behind the blower when you plow or the tractor will skew to one side or the other.

I just had this welded up a few weeks ago, I bought a 52" atv blade and then the quick attach brackets. I'm anxious to see how well she does on the 2305. I know several people stated that small tractors like mine the snow wants to push you off to the side. So, that's why it's in the fixed straight position.

You may want to weigh your tractor down, both front and rear.
